REGISTRATION AND FEES
2, 3 and 5 days are available.
Fees are as follows:2 Days (Tuesday, Thursday) $425/ Month, $213 Deposit
3 Days (Mon, Wed, Fri) $556/ Month, $278 Deposit
5 Days (Mon- Fri) $695/ Month, 348 Deposit
There is also a $35 membership fee.
All children must be potty trained to attend Mission YMCA preschool.
This checklist provides some basic items you should look for in a child care center:
QUALITY PROGRAMMING
Mission YMCA is proud to be accredited by the National Association of Young
Children (NAEYC), and recognized for our commitment to reaching the highest
professional standards.
Mission YMCA has been selected by First Five San Francisco in partnership
with Wu Yee Children’s Services to be a Preschool For All (PFA) provider.
PFA has rigorous curriculum guidelines and classroom standards.
Mission YMCA hires teachers with education and experience in the Early
Childhood Education. Our teachers are given access to on-going educational
opportunities and trainings.
Many of our preschool teachers are multilingual and our staff speaks
English, Spanish, and Arabic.
STRONG CURICULUM
Mission YMCA Preschool provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for
children 2 to 5 years of age. Children experience a curriculum rich in cognitive
and creative skill building. Our preschool is set in a culturally diverse
environment that serves to strengthen each child’s sense of self.
Play-based curriculum focuses on Literacy, Math, Science, Social/Emotional
Development, Gross and Fine Motor Skills.
Parents are kept up to date and involved in their child’s education.
Children experience educational field trips and outings.
Clean and well maintained indoor and outdoor play areas are age
appropriate, safe and fun for children.
Newsletter and special events available to families.
Educated and devoted staff with genuine love of children.
We provide a fun, nurturing environment for children to grow and learn.
PRESCHOOL FOR ALL
First Five San Francisco in partnership with Wu Yee Children's Services
has selected the Mission YMCA as a Preschool For All (PFA) site.
Current funding for PFA is available for children whose families reside in
the following zip codes:
94102-05, 94107-12, 94124, 94130, 94133, 94134
Children must be four (4) years old on or before December 2nd, 2006.
PFA hours are from 8:30am to 12:00pm.
"Wrap-around care" (before and after preschool care) is available for an
additional fee (approx. $480/month).
Full day preschool hours are from 7:00am to 6:30pm.
CONVENIENT FACILITIES
We are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm and are conveniently
located just off the 280 in the Excelsior / Outer Mission at 4080 Mission Street,
San Francisco. Glen Park Bart station is only blocks away, and we are near multiple
bus lines, including the 14, 23, 44, and 52. Our facilities feature three sun lit classrooms
and we have a large and newly renovated play yard.
