Bassist who recently moved to the bay area is looking to either join or form something with other like-minded musicians.
Things about me:
I've been playing for a loooong time.
Although I have a hard time describing own style, I grew up listening and jamming to Dunn, Babbit, JPJ, Jamerson, Prestia (to name a few).
I have top notch gear.
I'm not one to just show up at the gig, play, then leave. I am willing to do my share when it comes to making contacts, bookings, promotion, etc....
I will show up prepared for rehearsals and gigs.
I would expect a similar level of commitment from others. I would also hope that everyone has similar goals, vision, expectations, etc...
As for my goals, I would LOVE to be part of a regular gigging band. A group that gets the crowd moving and involved, plays great songs, and you have a feeling of accomplishment at the end of the night.
