We have two guitars, and one bass. We are mostly music dorks who read music and practice; we are not hip. We kind of might sound like: Dianogah, King Crimson, Don Cabellero, June of 44, Shipping News, Fugazi, Tortoise, Slint, etc.
Good ideal canditates would have these qualities / characteristics:
- you practice on a regular basis
- you are comfortable with odd time signatures, and frequent time signature changes
- you have time to rehearse as well as practice your parts outside of rehearsal
- you are commited, responsible, and serious (!!)
- you are comfortable with taking explicit direction for drum parts (e.g., play the fill exactly like this)
- bonus if you read music
