Text: I am a teacher with 20 years of experience who enjoys working with students of all ages. I graduated at the top of my class from a major music conservatory, hold Bachelor's and Master's degrees in piano performance, have done doctoral work in performance and music theory, and have performed throughout the United States. I currently maintain a large private studio in San Francisco and teach piano at University of San Francisco.
In this classically-based instruction you will learn pieces by great composers from Bach to Brahms and beyond, discover how to feel comfortable at the piano, develop good reading and listening skills, learn how to practice, and understand some theoretical aspects of music. My students range from beginner to advanced. I welcome students who are returning to the instrument after a hiatus.
My music studio--replete with a grand piano, music library, and digital recording equipment--is located in Glen Park, walking distance from BART and the 26, 44, and 52 bus lines, and right off I-280. My fee is $60 for those who attend regularly, and includes, in addition to a 50-minute private lesson, a semi-weekly class (in theory, music appreciation, performance, etc.) for those adults who are interested (children have classes once a month).
Please visit my website for my resume and additional information. Feel free to contact me at the above e-mail address or at (415) 587-4741 if you have additional questions and/or wish to schedule an initial lesson.
