I'm from the east coast and don't know the flora in this part of the world very well. But I hike in Marin all the time and last year someonhe took me on a wonderful mushroom walk where I learned to identify -and subsequently cooked and ate - four edible species. I longed for more but since I wasn't interested in romance with this particular man there were no more mushroom walks.
Well, the rainy season is almost upon us again and I'm eager to learn more about the local fungi. I also prefer walking in the woods in good company to wandering there alone. If you feel the same way and have mushroom knowledge you're willing to share, please get in touch. I'm willing to trade a well-cooked vegan meal (with or without the mushrooms) for your expertise.
