I am a 39-year-old nanny with over ten years of experience with newborns, toddlers and twins. I am looking for a full time nanny position. I have a recent infant and child CPR and Nanny training. If you want to read more, here are some highlights about me:
Development: I strongly believe that it is a person's identity that will rule how all else plays out. Self-awareness, cognizance of their own value, self-control, autonomy, security, & boundaries are all crucial areas that must be built as the foundation. Most people spend their lives missing at least one of those elements, not knowing what they are missing yet searching nonetheless. Imagine your child going out into the world already possessing those traits! No matter what life may throw at them in the future, they will always have that solid core on which to draw.
Dedication: Every decision I make is weighed by its effect on the children in my care. I go to sleep considering how best to guide & nurture, & each day I work to be sure I follow the course to achieve this. You need never fear that your children would be merely a job to me.
Focus: As a professional, I apply above average vigilance. As a mother, I take that to new levels. Because I have a child of my own, you can be assured that my focus is on the children & not myself.
Entertainment: Fun, fun, fun! Piggy-back rides, games, laughing & joking, playing ball, dancing, singing, & all-in-all trying to make the time spent with me truly enjoyable. (I must admit, I have fun, too!
Protection: The children's safety would be priority number one. Additionally, I am not the type to be intimidated but will always fight for them should the occasion call for it. Nor am I needlessly aggressive, & whatever action I take will be measured by the goal of protecting them.
Patience: To me, this is no more, no less, than remembering. Remembering my job (it is far easier to be patient as a nanny, as caring for the children is the whole of one's duty), remembering that the child is a child, remembering that the children will be learning from my example, remembering how it felt to be a child, & perhaps most of all, remembering my goal: their well-being, not my convenience. I am very patient.
Specialized Attention: Each child is unique & has something to offer that no one else can. I am attentive to each child as an individual & build my relationship with them on that basis. I listen, & mutual respect & love both grow strong in this way.
Open Affection: I believe in plenty of hugs, kisses, & obvious indications of approval & enjoyment for each child.
Structure: I provide a high level of organization, offering predictability & security.
Creativity: I am inventive & [can be] spontaneous--schedules assist, they do not dictate.
Diversity: I can expose your children to a variety of subjects with an enthusiasm & perspective that should enable them to understand & enjoy those things as well. Additionally, I am well-traveled & have seen all kinds of lifestyles & cultures, from one end of the spectrum to another economically, politically, & socially.
Recognition of Ability: I possess a number of [mediocre] talents that enable me to both recognize abilities in a child & develop them. In this respect, I am a "jack-of-all-trades" (I sing, write, design & sew, paint, etc.)
Education: I have a wide knowledge base, & what I don't know (when it comes up), I research, which means I am continuously actively learning.
Love: Last, but far from least, I care--very strongly. Your children’s feelings are important to me!
EMPLOYEE:
Ethics: I am perfectly responsible & pride myself on my integrity. I am completely comfortable with you working from home.
Commitment: I am comfortable working with a family for a short time period or long, with plenty of experience at both levels.
Discretion: Your personal business is yours & absolutely will not be discussed with friends, family, or anyone else.
Straightforwardness: If there is something disturbing me that I believe needs to be discussed, I will explain my concerns & listen to yours in order to find a resolution.
Accepting of Instruction: I welcome your direction regarding the position I fill, & I will never lose sight of the fact that your children are your children. I also have a love of learning, & your experiences will have led you to glean a different understanding than I might possess. I have every expectation that I will learn from you, & I am prepared to impart what I have learned should you desire it or refrain if you should not.

CHEF:
From homemade phylo wraps with various delicious fillings and an authentic Middle Eastern dish to a pastry wrapped beef roast and profiterols that melt in your mouth, I have a wide range of recipes I have perfected. I make crêpes as elegant as the finest restaurant with the ease one might make a pancake, a Turkey breast roll that is delicious for the entire family while still adding that touch of something special, a Boston cream pie that you absolutely cannot buy anywhere (and I have looked), exceptional roasts of all sorts and have an array of creative ideas for boneless skinless chicken breasts. I buy cookbooks with the same enthusiasm as a child in a candy store, and I have an extensive collection of superb recipes to bring with me. In addition, I know what a well-balanced meal is. On days when there isn't a great deal of time to cook, I have plenty of ideas ready for quick and easy meals that are still nutritious and tasty.
