Jack is a Jack Russell Terrier that is 1 1/2 years old, slightly under 20 lbs, and still quite puppyish. He is one of the many displaced Hurricane Katrina dogs that arrived in the Bay Area last month in search of their forever home. He has spent most of life going from overcrowded shelter to overcrowded shelter, but despite his harsh beginnings, Jack is nevertheless an extremely affectionate and loving, loyal boy.
Jack is neutered, dewormed, current on shots, and microchipped. He is also housetrained and OK with kids, cats and other dogs. He's active in the typical terrier sense so while he'll be happy to lounge around on the couch with you, it'll need to be AFTER he's had his routine exercise. He would thrive with continued mental stimulation and training.
Jack is under the care of Group Education to Protect & Defend Animals, a 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue organization. The is a $200 adoption fee. A homecheck will also be required so that we can ensure Jack goes to an environment suited to him.
